Dallas Marsh Reese,

Dallas Marsh Reese, age 68, of Taylorsville, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Gordon Hospice House. He was born on November 27, 1945 in Alexander County to the late John Dallas Reese and Marie Rogers Reese. Dallas was retired as a truck driver for various companies. He was of the Baptist faith and he loved his grandchildren. Dallas was also a water and snow ski enthusiast. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Roger Reese; uncles: Stanley Reese, Graydon Reese, and Atwell Reese. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sandra Kay James Reese, of the home; children: Todd Reese and wife, Wendy, of Taylorsville, John Reese and wife, Charity, of Taylorsville; grandchildren: Whitney Reese, Jacob Reese, Olivia Reese, and Hallie Reese, all of Taylorsville; adopted loving grandchildren: Kelsey England and Tres Wilbur; brothers: Ronnie Reese and wife Vilas, and Vaughn Reese and wife Brenda, both of Taylorsville; several nieces and nephews, and one special aunt: Betty Reese.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at East Taylorsville Baptist Church from 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm. The service will follow at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Bill Orren and Rev. Jamie Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Three Forks Baptist Church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House of Statesville: 2341 Simonton Rd; Statesville, NC 28625.
