Dallas James McDaniel

Dallas James McDaniel, age 23, born on Friday, December 22, 2000, in Catawba County, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, in Caldwell County. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend, known for his vibrant spirit and passion for life.

He had an adventurous soul, cherishing time spent outdoors—whether it was exploring the mountains and parks or enjoying the sunshine in nature. He found joy in listening to music, driving, and immersing himself in the world of video games, creating lasting memories with friends and family during these moments of leisure.

He is survived by his father Jay McDaniel; his loving sisters, Emma McDaniel and Allyssa McDaniel; and his brother, Gage Jolly. Dallas also shared a special bond with his girlfriend, Hailey Bryant. He was cherished by his paternal grandparents, Lillian and Joseph McDaniel, who proudly watched him grow into the remarkable individual he became, as well as four uncles, Jason, Cory, Michael, and Joseph R. McDaniel.

Dallas was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Mary Baines, who held a special place in his heart.

Visitation will be held on September 14, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm, both taking place at Alexander Funeral Service, located at 193 NC-16, Taylorsville, NC 28681. Burial will follow in the Liledoun Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Chris Meade will officiate. Jason McDaniel, Cory McDaniel, Jay McDaniel, Joseph R. McDaniel, Michael McDaniel, and Joseph B. McDaniel will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family at Alexander Funeral Service at PO Box 40, Taylorsville, NC 28681. 

Dallas McDaniel will be remembered fondly for his adventurous spirit, his love for family, and the joy he brought to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
