Dana Ray Bragg, age 72 of Taylorsville passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013 at his residence. Born December 12, 1940 to the late Ray Ernie and Pricie (Gillum) Bragg in Mingo County, West Virginia. He was a Veteran in the United States Army National Guard during the Vietnam Era. Dana worked for American Roller Bearing for 26 years as a machinist. He loved his children and grandchildren, family gatherings, and the occasional hunting trips. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by 2 grandchildren: Dustin James Sweet and Tosha Lashae Sweet. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters: Betty Reynolds and husband Bobby of Taylorsville, Leah Mathis of Hiddenite, and Kathy Gryder and husband Robert of Stony Point; son: Dana Ray Bragg, Jr. and wife Christy of Vale; the mother of his children: Barbara Bragg of Hiddenite; sisters: Saundra Murphy and husband Charles of Delbarton, WV; Linda Justice and husband Stewart, and Brenda Shell and husband Russell, both of Logan, WV; brother: Marion Bragg and wife Mary of Delbarton, WV; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and many friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm at Rocky Face Baptist Church and Service will begin at 5:30 pm with the Rev. Mark Dula and Rev. Jesse Bragg officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be his co-workers of American Roller Bearing.
