Daniel "Danny" Barry Chapman

Daniel “Danny” Barry Chapman, age 68, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Catawba County. He was born to the late D.B. Chapman and Louise Davis Chapman on Tuesday, July 6, 1954, in Alexander County. During his working career, Mr. Chapman was an upholsterer in the furniture industry. Danny was a member of Little River Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He enjoyed yardwork, flower gardening, and classic cars. Danny loved his family dearly and cherished spending time with them.

Those left to cherish the memories of Danny include his wife of 48 years, Kathy Dyson Chapman; sister, Diane Moretz (Larry); sister-in-law, Denise Dyson; aunts, Eloise Davis and Camilla Mitchell; a fur baby, Annie; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held Friday, May 26, 2023, in the Little River Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 pm. Rev. Phil Jolly will officiate. Deacons at Little River Baptist Church will be honorary pallbearers.

The family will accept flowers.
