Daniel Steve Auton,

Daniel Steve Auton, age 65, of Taylorsville, passed away on Thursday, September 23rd, 2010 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.  He was born on December 20th 1944 in Caldwell County to the late Russell Theodore and Mildred Roberts Auton.  He was an electrician by trade for 37 years and had been employed by Medlock Electric, and he was also an avid deer hunter and fisherman.   Those left to treasure his memory are his wife:  Deborah Turner Auton; one daughter, Sonya Hines and husband Dion; two granddaughters, Sydney and Josie Hines, all of Taylorsville.  2 sisters, Barbara A. Smith and husband, Wade of Granite Falls, Wanda A. Greene of Hudson, and one brother Jimmy Auton of Lenoir.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 25th at Alexander Funeral Service from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, with burial to follow at the Friendship Community Cemetery at 3:00 pm., with Rev. Jamie Steele officiating.  Memorials may be made to the East Taylorsville Baptist Building Fund @ 644 1st Ave Drive SE, Taylorsville 28681 as well as their CAMPFIRE Ministry .  Alexander Funeral Service has been entrusted with the arrangements.
