Dannie Wayne Wike,

Dannie Wayne Wike, age 62 of MoravianFallspassed away on Wednesday, June 22 in IredellMemorialHospital.  He was born November 23, 1948 to the late Edward Atle and Wilma Sue Bumgarner Wike.  He worked as an Upholsterer in the Furniture Industry for over 30 years and had retired from Paladin Furniture.  He is survived by his wife, Sandra Kerley Wike of the home; two sons:  David Wayne Wike of Moravian Falls, and Daniel Vaughn Wike and wife, Misty.  One grandson:  Vaughn Wike each of Taylorsville.  Two brothers:  Mack Wike and wife, Ruth of Bethlehem, and Jerry Wike of Taylorsville.  One sister, Linda Sherrill and husband “Redbone” of Stony Point; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Friday, June 24 from 1:30 pm- 2:45 pm, with the Funeral Service to be held at 3:00 pm.   Rev. Bradley Johnson and Rev. Jerry Gwaltney will officiate.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Relay for Life, 57 Kendra Lane, Taylorsville, NC  28681.
