Darrell Robinette,

Darrell Lynn Robinette, age 42, of Taylorsville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 16th, 2010.  Darrell was born on August 7th, 1967 in Alexander County to parents James Ralph and Patricia Rufty Robinette.  He worked for Mays Meats as a truck driver and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Stony Point where he also served as a Sunday school teacher.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Floyd and Ernestine Robinette, and Donald and Vivian Rufty.  In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his brother: Donald and wife Andrea Robinette; the mother of his children: Maria Lackey; and their children: Justin, Avery and Garrett Robinette; and his fiancé Regina Shook and her 2 children: Cody and Camila – all of Taylorsville.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M. at Tabernacle Baptist Church on Sunday, July 18th.  The funeral service will follow at 4:00 P.M. in the church where Rev. Wesley Hammer and Rev. Andrew Miller will officiate.  Burial will follow in St. Luke Lutheran Church cemetery in Taylorsville.  Pall-bearers will be Christy Bebber, Randy Barnes, Brent Smith, Andy Lackey, Dale Allen, and Chris Burgess.  Memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church at: Po Box 740, 190 Mill Hill Court, Stony Point, 28678; OR to St. Luke Lutheran Church at: 1364 Church Road, Taylorsville, 28681.   Alexander Funeral Service has been entrusted with caring for the Robinette family.
