David Alan Hash

David Alan Hash, age 68, passed away at his home in Alexander County on Friday, July 12, 2024. He was born on July 20, 1955, in Chester, Pennsylvania to Virginia Hash and the late Robert Lee Hash. He attended East Taylorsville Baptist Church. David proudly served his country in The United States Air Force, embodying principles of duty and honor throughout his military service.

Aside from his professional endeavors, David will be fondly remembered for his loving nature and kind spirit. He cherished his family above all else and took great joy in spending quality time with them. His warm personality and willingness to help anyone in need earned him respect and admiration from who knew him.

In addition to his work and family life, David found peace in simple pleasures such as watching and feeding wildlife. He was also passionate about his hobbies and took pride in them.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jane Hash, who was his lifelong partner in love and companionship. David is also mourned by his mother Virginia Hash, sisters Janice Duncan and Nancy Absher, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy and James White, as well as extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Preceding him in death is his father, Robert Lee Hash, with whom he shared a special bond that will live on in cherished memories.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of David Alan Hash will be held at Alexander Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 2:00 pm. The service will be a tribute to a man who touched the hearts of many with his generosity and genuine kindness. Rev. Brian Davis will officiate. Inurnment will be with the family.

David's legacy of love, compassion, and hard work will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in peace knowing that he made a difference in the lives of those around him.
