David Deal

On July 31, 2024, the world lost a remarkable soul with the passing of David Deal in Iredell County. Born on August 27, 1961, in the same county he cherished throughout his life, David's journey came to an unexpected end. He was a beloved brother, son, and friend whose will forever echo in the of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

 David is preceded in death by his parents John and Hazel Deal and dear sister Glenda Adams Cook.

David dedicated over four decades of his life as a Sewing Machine Mechanic starting in 1979. His passion for intricate machinery and eye for detail shone through in all his work, earning him respect and admiration from colleagues and friends alike.

Outside of work, David was known for his friendly demeanor and outgoing personality. A true people person, he had a way of making everyone feel welcome in his presence. A Christian by faith, David was a member of Wayside Baptist Church. He possessed a deep love for Hot Wheels, and anything car related. An artist at heart, David's talents extended far beyond just the mechanics of sewing machines; he found beauty and inspiration in the world around him.

David leaves behind a legacy that will be carried on by his surviving loved ones. He is survived by his brother Daryl Deal (Loretta); special friend, Jessica Raney and her sons Collin and Bryson; brother-in-law Ronald Cook, and addition to his immediate family David is also remembered fondly by a number of cousins and friends.

 In honoring David's life, a Graveside Service will take place on August 3, 2024, at White Plains Baptist Church in Taylorsville starting at 10:00 am to celebrate the life of this extraordinary individual who touched the hearts of many. Rev. Mark Sharpe will officiate.
