David Lee Henson

David Lee Henson, age 69 of Taylorsville passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Frye Regional Medical Center.
David was born July 6, 1952, in Fletcher, NC the son of the late Oscar Tommy Gibbs and the late Mary Jane Henson Swart.
David was a graduate of Western Carolina University, was of the Baptist faith. He retired from the Iredell County Sheriff’s Department as Chief of Detectives after twenty years of service.

Those left to cherish the memories of David include his wife of twenty-five years, Candace Woods Henson, son, Christopher Henson, daughter, Carrie Isley, stepson, John Eller, stepdaughter, Mary Huffman, and four grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Henson will be conducted Friday, July 16, 2021, at Alexander Funeral Service from 2:00 pm until 2:45 pm with the funeral service following at 3:00 pm.
Rev. Don Farris will be officiating. Inurnment will be with the family.
