David William Elder,

David William Elder, age 55, of Claremont passed away on June 7, 2012 at the Hospice House in Catawba Valley.  He was born June 5, 1957 to the late Walter "Bud" Elder and Sylvia Jolly Elder, who still survives.  He was employed with Waldorf Corporation.  Those that precede him in death include his father and one brother, Richard Elder.  Those left to cherish his memory, include his mother; three sisters, Judy Chaney, of Taylorsville; Doris Royal and husband Thomas, of Wilkesboro and Linda Coffey and husband Kenneth, of Hickory; and two brothers, Curtis and Benny Elder, both of Taylorsville.  He also had a special nephew, Shane Childers, of Taylorsville along with a number of nieces and nephews.  A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 3:00 pm at the Taylorsville City Cemetery.  Rev. Gary Jennings will be officiating the service.
