Debra Ann Deal,

Debra Ann Deal, age 52, of Hickory, passed away on Thursday, April 28th, 2011.  She was born on July 16th, 1958 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Bobby Deal & Helen Jo George.  She enjoyed spending time with her precious grandchildren.  She also was an avid reader and loved being outdoors.  Debra was employed as a CNA. She was preceded in death by her parents.  Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jerry Wayne Copeland of Hickory; her daughter, Michelle Lawrence & husband Arthur of Claremont; son, David Privette of Statesville; brother, Dean Deal; 3 grandchildren: granddaughter, Kaitlyn Privette of Statesville; and grandsons, Alexander & Rayven Carpenter of Claremont.  She also leaves behind woman’s best friend, Leo.  Visitation will be held on Monday, May 2nd, 2011 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.  The funeral service will begin at 4 inside the sanctuary where the Rev. Bradley Johnson will be officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Alexander Funeral Service of Taylorsville has been entrusted with arrangements.
