Della Benfield Jackson,

Della Benfield Jackson, age 73, of Granite Falls, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late John Henry and Helen Rachel Caldwell Benfield. Della was born on January 13, 1942 in Caldwell County. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and loved helping with the food and flower committees. Della enjoyed reading, flowers, gardening, listening to music, and playing the piano. Della always showed interest in the lives of her family members. Della was a graduate of Oak Hill High School. She worked in the banking industry for over 20 years.
In addition to her parents, Della was preceded in death by her husband Doyle Jackson and sister Linda Benfield Crouch.
Della is survived by sisters Carol B. Crouch and husband Arnold; Peggy B. Pennell and husband Tim; brother in law Larry Crouch; five nieces and nephews: Susan Kirby, Gina Bell, Jeff Crouch, Tara Geiger, Brooke Trepal; three step children: Rebecca Jackson, Jeanne Morse, Laurie Brown; one step grandson Samuel Brown; eight great nieces and nephews; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 2:00-3:00 pm at Antioch Baptist Church with the funeral following at 3:00 pm. The Rev. Mark Morris will be officiating the service. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to Antioch Baptist Church, 580 Antioch Church Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681.
