Dennis Paul Patterson,

Dennis Paul Patterson, age 32, of Taylorsville, NC, passed away on Dec. 22, 2011, at his residence, surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born, Nov.17, 1979, in Johnson City, Tennessee, to John Albert and Darlene Joy Kyker Patterson, he was of the Baptist faith. Dennis was a machine operator for CommScope Cable in Statesville, NC. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Wayne Kyker and John Patterson Sr. Dennis was known for his love of horses, as well as fishing with his son Logan, and his own hunting.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mihaela, and one son Logan, both of the home. Two sisters survive, Nicole Whitmire and husband Jason , of Taylorsville, and Vanessa Queen and husband, Josh, of Statesville. Two brothers: Nathan and John Patterson III and wife, Melissa, all of Taylorsville. His maternal grandmother, Esther Kyker, of Taylorsville,and his paternal grandmother, Edith Patterson of Kingsport, Tn., also survives. Dennis also leaves to cherish his memory, his mother-in-law, Lilianna Voicu of Romania, and his father-in-law, Alexandru Marinescu of Taylorsville. He also has a brother-in-law Stefan Marinescu, of Virginia. Dennis leaves, nephews and nieces, Tucker and Luke Whitmire, Madison and Joy Patterson, and Angel and Julia Patrick, to remember him. Visitation will be held on Monday evening, Dec. 26, 2011, from 6-8p.m. at Alexander Funeral Service in Taylorsvile, with funeral services on Tues., Dec 27, 2011, in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Gary W. Jennings will officiate. Pallbearers will be Nathan and John Pattterson III, Jason Whitmire, Bradley High, Stefan and Alex Marinescu, Scottie Presnell, and Rich Lehman. Burial will follow in the Taylorsville, City Cemetery.
