Dennis William Nicholson,

Dennis William Nicholson, 66 of Hiddenite, NC passed away at his residence after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, November 4, 2014.  A visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Alexander Funeral Service from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church in Hiddenite, at 2:00pm with Rev. Mitch King officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Dennis was born on June 17, 1948 to the late Onie Lee and Wanese Lucille Millsaps Nicholson.  Dennis was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church in Hiddenite, NC, and was a proud US Army veteran who served in the Vietnam Conflict.  Dennis was a man of many trades but thoroughly enjoyed auto mechanics for most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son; Kevin Herman and wife Teresa of Taylorsville, daughters; Fonda Lee and husband Jamie of Taylorsville, Crystal Burton and husband Jerad of Morganton, NC, grandchildren; Avery and Anna Herman, Cheyenne and Dylan Lee, former wife and friend; Linda Nicholson of Taylorsville, long time companion; Vonne Mahaffey of Statesville, sisters; Tona Burgess and Husband Gary of Taylorsville, Clara Barlowe and husband Roger of Taylorsville, and a number of nieces and nephews.
