Diane Marie Yauchzi Buey

Diane Marie Yauchzi Buey, age 62, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at her home in Alexander County. She was born on Sunday, May 27, 1962, in Monroe County, New York, to the late Harold Robert Yauchzi and Madeline Priestley Yauchzi.

Diane's life was a celebration of family and connection. She cherished the time spent with her loved ones and held them dear to her heart. Diane had a love for cooking, dancing, concerts, and fishing trips with her husband, Chris, with whom she shared 26 wonderful years of marriage.

Diane is survived by her devoted husband, Chris Buey, and her four beloved daughters, Melissa Steffen, Jessica Grace, Christina Buey, and Zoe Buey. She also delighted in her role as a grandmother to three grandchildren, DJ, Heaven, and London who undoubtedly brought immense joy into her life. In addition to her immediate family, she is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Linda Morrison, Nancy Roberts, and Bonnie Shatzel, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be with the family.

Diane's legacy will live on through the memories created with her family and friends, who will forever treasure the moments spent in her warm and loving presence. Her spirit, vibrant and full of life, will be missed by all who knew her.
