Dolly Brown McDuffie,

Dolly Brown McDuffie, age 85, of Taylorsville, passed away at the Lutheran Home of Hickory West on Tuesday, February 21st, 2012.  She was born on April 24th, 1926 in Alexander County to parents Charlie and Stella Brookshire Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Henry McDuffie; and 2 siblings: Wanda Reese and Shuford Brown.  Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Pat White & husband Dennis of Bethlehem; 2 grandsons: Rodney White & wife Crystal of Mt. View, and Chris White & wife Laurie of Lewisville, TX.  She also leaves behind 5 great-grandchildren: Courtney White & fiance' Cody Brittain of Hildebran, Colton & Bren White of Mt. View, and George and Anna White of Lewisville, TX; 1 great-great grandchild, Lillian Brittain of Hildebran; her brother, Max "Sonny" Brown of Taylorsville; her special friend, Angie Church of Bethlehem; in addition to a host of nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be conducted on Saturday, February 25th, 2012 at Temple Hill Baptist Church from 1-2 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at 2 P.M. at the church where Rev. Darrell Hatchell and Rev. Clyde Bumgarner will officiate.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Rodney White, Chris White, Colton White, Cody Brittain, Jerry Cloer, Bobby Church, and George White will serve as pallbearers.  In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to the National Alzheimer's Association @ 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.  Alexander Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
