Donald M. Jackson,

Donald M. Jackson, age 82, of Taylorsville, passed away at his residence unexpectedly on Sunday, September 6, 2015. Donald was born on Tuesday, October 18, 1932 to the late Coy William and Mildred Payseur Jackson in Raleigh County WV. He enjoyed golf, traveling, watching sports & coaching football, baseball, and basketball. Donald served in the United States Air Force and was of the Baptist faith. He made his living working as a Sales Representative for companies such as Gaines Motor Lines, Johnson Motor Lines, and PIE Transport.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Jean Rogers and Pam Simmons.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son James "JJ" Jackson of Taylorsville, a step-son Eric Jennings, five grandchildren; Drew McCoy, Tyler Reese, Dalton Isaac, Gage Milas Jackson, and Eric Jennings Jr. all of Taylorsville, a special friend and caregiver Jason Wike, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 3:00-4:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service with the memorial service following at 4:00 pm in the Alexander Funeral Service Chapel. The Rev. Gary W. Jennings will be officiating. Full military rights will be provided by DAV Post 84 of Taylorsville and 6 of Hudson. Interment in Dallas, NC will follow at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Mt. Herman Baptist Church Youth Fund, PO Box 697, Taylorsville, NC 28681
