Donald Bruce Teague

Donald Bruce Teague, age 91, born on February 4, 1933, in Catawba County, passed away peacefully at Sherrills Ford Hospice House on August 28, 2024, in Catawba County. 

Donald proudly served his country in The United States Navy; a commitment shaped his values and dedication to service. His post-military life was marked by a career and passion for building and flying planes, that brought him immense joy. Additionally, he enjoyed restoring cars, particularly his beloved Jaguars.

Among the many treasures in Donald's life were his five cherished cats, who provided companionship and love, reflecting his gentle spirit and nurturing heart. He took great pride in their care, and they were a significant part of his daily life.

Donald is survived by his son, Brian Truluck (Ruth) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, along with his beloved grandchildren, Wendy and Ruth Ellen Ashcraft, and his great-grandson, Bair Bohler. He is also remembered fondly by his nephew, Terry Teague (Tammy). 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Bessie Starnes Teague, and his brother, Bliss Teague. Their lives shaped the foundation from which Donald grew, and their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

A visitation will be held at Alexander Funeral Service on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, allowing friends and family to reflect on the profound impact Donald had on their lives. Inurnment will be with the family.
