Donna Phillips Bryant,

Donna Phillips Bryant, age 82, of Hickory, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 18th, 2010 at Frye Regional Medical Center.  She was born on December 13th, 1927 in Yancey County to James & Lockie Phillips of Burnsville.  She was a loving mother.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Boyd Ottis Bryant; daughter, Christine Bryant; her brothers: Ed, Chester, & Alvin Bryant; and her sisters: Madge, Cloie, & Bonnie Phillips of Burnsville.  Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Ronald Bryant of Hickory; daughter, Norma Jean Gilliam & husband Ted – also of Hickory; sister, Zula Hensley; 3 brothers: Lester, Segal, & DL Phillips; cousin, Wilma Hyleman of Burnsville; sister-in-laws: Ethel Ritter & Zula Whaley of Rockford, IL; and her grandchildren: Kristin, Jessica, Savannah, Ty, Madison, Heather, & Josh & wife Amanda.  She also leaves behind 2 great-grandchildren: MaKayla & Aden.  Visitation will be held on Friday September 24th, 2010 at Millers Chapel Freewill Baptist Church (10460 Hwy 19 W) in Burnsville from 12:00-1:00 P.M.  The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM inside the church. Burial to follow in White Oak Flats / Warrick Family Cemetery in Green Mountain, NC.  Memorials may be to the Donna Bryant Memorial Fund at: Po Box 40. Taylorsville, 28681.
