Dora Cook,

Dora Evelyn Brady Cook, age 85, of Hickory and formerly of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010, in Lutheran Home West in Hickory. Born in Cumberland County, March 5, 1925, to the late John William and Etta Graham Cook, she was retired from Fayetteville Comm. College in Food Services. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Cook as well as her parents, and two sisters and one brother. She is survived by one son, Rondall Graham Wilkins of Thomasville, two daughters, Arlene Lail of Hickory and Dona Gipple of Mebane. One sister: Burnette Sealey of Red Springs and 8 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Visitation was Tuesday, July 13, 2010 from 10:30a.m. to 11:00a.m., with memorial services following at 11:00a.m.at First Advent Christian Church in Hickory with Rev. Dennis Spivey officiating. Memorials may be made to any public library of the donor's choice, in memory of Mrs. Cooks favorite past time. Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service is serving the Cook family.
