Doris "Faye Jolly,

Doris "Faye" Jolly, age 62, of Taylorsville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 3, 2012 at Frye Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 11, 1950 to the late Graydon George Jolly and Shirley Faye (Carrigan) Jolly, who survives. Faye worked for Mitchell Gold for 18 years and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was an extensive glass and shoe collector, an avid reader and enjoyed quilting, puzzles and travel. Including her father, she is preceded in death by two brothers - Harry Jolly, David Jolly, an infant brother, Roger Jolly. Including her mother, those left to cherish her memory include one daughter - Jenny B. Hammer and husband Jeff; one granddaughter - Chelsea Hammer, of Taylorsville; one brother - Aaron Jolly and wife Sandra, of Taylorsville; a very special friend - Bobby R. Barnes; a sister-in-law - Dana Jolly, of Taylorsville; a very special family member Eric Jones and a numerous number of cousins, one nephew and four nieces.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service and a Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel at 3:00 pm with Rev. Dan Spears officiating. In lieu of flowers. memorials may be sent to Humane Society of Catawba County at 3224 20th Avenue SE, Hickory, NC 28601.
