Doris T. Watts

Doris T. Watts, age 89, of Taylorsville passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in a caring and loving community at the Brian Center Home in Gastonia. Doris was born October 6, 1928 in Rockingham, NC. She worked in textiles till she became a stay at home mom/nanny. Doris was a kind loving Christian lady and she loved all her kids and grandkids. She also enjoyed working in her flowers and gardening. Doris is preceded in death by her loving husband John Watts of 63 years and son Gene Watts.

She is survived by her children Randy Watts of Tennessee and James Watts, Phyllis Julian, and Teresa Duncan of Taylorsville; sister Joyce Neagle of Gastonia; plus numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Little River Baptist Church. A memorial service to celebrate her life will follow at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Gary Jennings officiating.
