Earl Leonidus O'Brien Jr.

Earl Leonidus O’Brien Jr., age 80, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Amorem in Caldwell County. He was born to the late Earl Leonidus O’Brien Sr. and Virginia Johnson O’Brien on Saturday, September 23, 1944, in Virginia. Earl was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed building model cars, watching racing and football, and reading Stephen King books. Earl loved to make people laugh.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tim and Mark O’Brien, and daughter-in-law, Carol O’Brien.

Those left to cherish the memories of Earl include his wife of 63 years Mary O’Brien, four children, Robert Lee O’Brien, Patricia Ann Johnson (Boyd), Sandra Gayle O’Brien, Vivien Mae King (Gaither); sisters, Sue Nelson, Gayle O’Brien; brothers, Dean O’Brien, Wayne O’Brien; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time.
