Edgar Leroy Bowman,

Edgar Leroy Bowman, age 65, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana formerly of Taylorsville passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 at his residence. Born May 14, 1948 to the late Harold and Christine Herman Bowman. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era and was a bee keeper, loved all kinds of poultry and enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers: William Royd, Billy Ugene, Ronald Russell and William Bruce and sister: Linda Sue Bowman Morre. Those left to cherish his memory include his sons: Brian and Neil Bowman of Taylorsville; granddaughter: Elizabeth Leelynn all of Taylorsville; brother: Howard Bowman of Tennessee; sisters: Francis Williams of Taylorsville, Haroleen Payne of Denver, Lucy Setzer of Catawba, Rachel Tester of Lenoir and Karen Ward of Tennessee; and a host of nieces and nephews.
No formal services are planned at this time. At a later date the family will conduct an Inurnment at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery.
