Edith McCall Meadlock,

Edith McCall Meadlock, age 88, of the Ellendale community passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Edith was born to the late Duncan and Ellen Price McCall on May 22, 1928 in Caldwell County. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Before her retirement she was employed at Clayton Marcus. She enjoyed going to the Spa in Hickory, gardening, water aerobics, and cooking. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Roland Roscoe Meadlock, infant daughter, and daughter in law Terri Woods Meadlock.
Edith leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Susan Wallace & husband Terry, two sons: Danny Meadlock & wife Kathy and Richard Meadlock; five grandchildren: Monty, Andrew, & Matthew Meadlock, Phillip Kahn, and Carrie Wiechman; three great grandchildren: Cooper Meadlock, Grant, & Amelia Weichman; and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Antioch Baptist Church from 11:00am-12:30pm. The funeral service will follow at 12:30pm. The Rev. Mark Morris will be officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. The family requests that in addition to flowers memorials be made to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Rd, Newton, NC 28658
