Edward "Bud" Franklin Winebarger

Edward “Bud” Franklin Winebarger, age 85, of Conover left this world for his heavenly home on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 surrounded by his family at home. He was born on June 3, 1932 to the late John & Willie Shook Winebarger. Before retirement he worked as an upholster for Lee Industries. Bud honorably served our country in the US Army and was a member at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, & trapping. Bud was a loving husband to his belated wife of 39 years, Betty Goble Winebarger, and was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will truly be missed but will forever be in our hearts. Along with his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his sisters Nellie Mae Wright, Margaret Bostain, Ruby Mauney, Wilma “Toad” Herman, and Helen Taylor.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children Randy Bowen (Kim) of Claremont, Debbie Fowler (Pete) & Tammy Davis (Todd); brother Bob Winebarger; sisters Betty Killian & Dot Winebarger all of Conover; four grandchildren Ryan Davis (Brittany), Kyle Davis & fiancé Kara, Holly Chapman (PJ), and Kyle Efird (Ashton); and two great-granddaughters Bailee & Kinslee Davis.


The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 16, 2016 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Conover and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with the Rev. Kevin Graudin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Military Rites will be provided by American Legion Post 48.
