Elaine A. Tomblin,

Elaine Victoria Alexander Tomblin, age 55, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 22, 2012.    Born in Iredell County on March 7, 1957 to Omar Allen and Sina Arwood Alexander, she enjoyed art, painting and all things crafty.  She was a member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Hickory where she taught a children’s Sunday school class. She is preceded in death by her mother, and both maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as a several Aunts and Uncles. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Johnny Tomblin of the home; two sons Johnny Tomblin, Jr. and wife Rachel, and Jason Tomblin.  Her father Omar Alexander and stepmother Phyllis; one brother Chris Alexander and wife Anna; one niece Amy, and two nephews Jake and Matt Alexander.  She also leaves behind a number of aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends at Alexander Funeral Service on Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 7:00 - 8:30 pm.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 26 at Alexander Funeral Service at 2:00 pm.  with Robert Buchanan officiating.  Burial will follow at the Catawba Memorial Park on Hwy 70 in Hickory.
