Elbert Hall Teague, age 82, of Taylorsville passed away on Thursday, June 20 at his residence. Born November 1, 1930 to the late Hayden and Alma Brookshire Teague. Elbert was a veteran of the US Army where he served as a Paratrooper during the Korean War. He also worked as an Iron worker and was a member of Community Christian Fellowship. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister - Peggy Dyson and granddaughter - Ashley Renee Sanders. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 59 years - Barbara Louise Teague of the home; children - Richard Teague of Taylorsville, Thomas Teague and wife Peggy of Chino, California and Tracey Mohon and husband Barry of Taylorsville; brother - John Teague and wife Nancy of Florida; grandchildren - Matthew Mohon, Dennis Teague, Tammy Boice, Chyanne Teague, Jeremy Teague, Aaron Teague, Jeffery Teague, Russell Teague, Ryan Dennis, Adrian Teague, Robin Teague, Staci Teague and Cheri Dennis; 13 great granchildren; 1 great-great grandson and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Elbert will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 5:00 pm at Community Christian Fellowship with the Pastor Neil Bowman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Alexander at 50 Lucy Echerd Lane, Taylorsville, NC 28681.
