Elizabeth Horn McDevitt, age 57, of Taylorsville, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Russell Sevil and Nell Rebecca Dobbins Horn. She was born on November 20, 1958 in Rutherford County. She loved her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ with all her heart and served him faithfully. Elizabeth had a very giving heart and never had a bad word to say about anyone, she was a fighter. Elizabeth was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Don McDevitt of the home, two sons; Bryan & wife Angie of Wilkesboro, Tommy & wife Amy of Thomasville, one daughter Kelly McDevitt and boyfriend Alex Starnes of Taylorsville, three grandsons; Parker Edwards age 16, Bryce age 13 & Peyton McDevitt age 9, sister Rebecca Watson & husband Bob, three brothers; Roger & Harriet Horn, Bruce & Carolyn Horn, David & Windy Horn, and a number of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Visitation will be moved due to attendance concerns to East Taylorsville Baptist Church Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 1:00-3:00 pm at, with the funeral following at 3:00 pm. The Rev. Jack Carver and Bryan McDevitt will be officiating the service.
