Ellen Fox Chapman, age 82 of Taylorsville, passed on Monday, October 27, 2014 at Catawba Regional Hospice.  She was born to the late Howard Marshall and Ila Mae Bentley Fox, and was a faithful and lifelong member of Liledoun Baptist Church.  Ms. Chapman enjoyed traveling and meeting people, she especially loved her children,  grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Besides her parent, those preceding her in death is her husband of over 50 years - Roland Richard Chapman.  One son - Gerald Howard Chapman.  Six sisters: Carro Jolly, Thelma Jenkins, Wilma Bowman, Alma Matlock, Cecile Schommer, and Genieve Harrington; and one brother - Burpee Fox.
Those remaining to honor her memory is one daughter - Joye Chapman Brown and husband Levaughn; two grandchildren: Justin  Brown and wife Beth, and Wendy Triplett and husband Josh.  Four great grandchildren:  Blake and Eli Ledford, and Ainsley and Megan Brown.  Two sisters-in-law:  Margie Presnell and Mary McGlamery, also a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Ms. Chapman will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 2:30 pm to 3:45 pm at Liledoun Baptist Church, with the Funeral Services to begin at 4:00 pm.  Rev. James Lockee, Rev. James Bumgarner, and Rev. Coy Walker will be officiating.  Burial will follow in Liledoun Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice @ 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC  28658 and/or Hospice of Alexander County @ 50 Lucy Echerd Lane, Taylorsville, NC  28681.
