Ellen Sue Ostwalt

Ellen “Sue” Ostwalt, age 73, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022. Sue was born on Friday, March 12, 1948, in Iredell County, to the late DD Mason and Onar Marie Patterson Mason.
Sue was a 1966 graduate of Central High School. During her career, Sue was an office manager at Maple Leaf health care for 25 years. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, walking, and sewing.
Sue was a member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church.
Including her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her husband David Wayne Ostwalt, brothers in law, Bob Peppers and Larry Connolly.
Those left to cherish the memories of Sue are her son, Jesse David Ostwalt, three sisters, Lillie Marie Peppers, Saleta Connolly, and Rita Elaine Leazer (Warren) and one brother, Larry Mason (Kay), along with a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Sue will lie in state on Saturday, February 12, 2023, at 10:30am at Rocky Hill Baptist Church. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am.
Burial will follow in the Rocky Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Rev. Andrew Sharpe will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rocky Hill Baptist Church, 823 Mountain View Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
Pallbearers will be, Scott Wilkinson, Christopher Creason, Todd Mason, Barry Benfield, Jeffery Connolly, and Keith Connolly.
