Elvina Pauline Dority age 87 of Hickory passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at her residence. She was born to the late Dewey and Edith Lail Kurd on Saturday, June 4, 1927 in Catawba County. Elvina was of the Baptist faith, she enjoyed crocheting and was very honest and outspoken.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Dority, two sons Dwight Dority and Randal Deal, two sisters Kathlene Matthews and Carolyn Cline.
She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters Sheila Barger and husband Earl of Hickory, Carmen Peterson and husband Randy of Taylorsville, and Evelyn Day of Conover, one son Danny Deal and wife Barbara of Hickory, and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be Friday, April 3, 2015 at Conover cemetery at 3:00 pm.
