Emily Joyce Crowell Rowe, 81, of Taylorsville, passed away on Saturday, July, 12, 2014, at Frye Regional Med. Ctr. Born on April 5, 1933, in Los Angeles Co. Calf. To the late James Eward and Marion Louise Crowell, she was retired from The Madera County, California, Dept. of Education, as a speech therapist. She was a member of Community Christian Fellowship of Bethlehem and St. James Anglian Cathedral, Fresno, Calf. She was an accomplished vocalist and had sung with the Roger Wagner Choral. She graduated from Fresno State University, where she was Phi Beta Kappa. Emily was a member of the Rebecca Lodge and a Daughter of the King Prayer Order. She loved gardening, and was an avid reader, and participated in Bible Studies. She greatly loved and was greatly loved. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, two brothers, James and Dwight Crowell as well as a sister, Marion Bessette. She lost an infant daughter at birth, Marion Clare Rowe. She is survived by two daughters: Catherine Downing and husband John of Fresno, Calf. And Rebecca Ambrose and husband Jay of Bethlehem. Mrs. Rowe has two sons, Kris Rowe and wife Laura, of Fresno., and Gregory Rowe and wife Lisa, of Humboldt County, Calf. She was blessed with six grandsons, Michael and wife Heather, Philip and wife Kate, Zachary, Jordon, Dashiell and Christopher. She has one very special great granddaughter, Piper Rose. She has many, many beloved friends.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July, 19, 2014, at 2:00 pm, at Community Christian Fellowship, 3919 Icard Ridge Rd. in Bethlehem. The Rev. Neil Bowman will officiate and burial will take place at a later date in Fresno.
