Esther Bumgarner White,

Esther White, age 65, of Taylorsville, passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Mrs. White was born to the late Arthur Atwell and Fannie Barnes Bumgarner on June 3, 1950 in Alexander County. She was a member of Little River Baptist Church. Mrs. White served as the secretary of Little River Baptist Church for 30 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. In her free time she enjoyed sewing and baking.

In addition to her parents Mrs. White was preceded in death by son Kevin White and sisters: Vivian, Shirley, Hilda, & Nancy; and brother Wade.

She leaves to carry on her memory her husband of 47 years, Rodger Dale White, daughter Joy Daniels & husband Blake; son P-nut & wife Robin, two granddaughters: Makayla & Vanessa; daughter Kelley Jolly & husband Phil, grandson Ben; two other sons: DJ & Thomas Fortner, sister Janie Sprinkle & husband Donald, brothers: Barnes Bumgarner & wife Betty, Cainie Bumgarner & wife Pat; sister Donna Rhyne & husband Chris, special friends: Chris Fortner, Sue Daniels, & Linda Barnette, and a host of nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service held in the Little River Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. The visitation will follow from 3:00-4:30 pm in the church. The Rev. Jeff Chapman and Rev. Tanner Mundy will be officiating. The family request that in addition to flowers that memorials be made to The Gideons, PO Box 14800, Nashville, TN 37214
