Ethel Louise Davis Alexander

Ethel Louise Davis Alexander age 85, of Lenoir passed away November 25, 2022. She was born to the late Floyd Jackson and Janie Ellis Davis March 26, 1937, in Wilkes County. Ms. Alexander was a cleaning lady where she cleaned people’s homes. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, building rock sculptures, cooking, gardening, flowers, canning, and was most of all a homemaker.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Talmadge Boyd Alexander, daughter Janie Mitchell, son Timothy Alexander, grandson Timothy Smith, three brothers: Lee Davis, Tommy Davis, Robert Davis, three sisters: Betty Burchette, Polly Marley, Annie Mae Hilton.

Those left to cherish the memories of Ethel include three daughters: Libby Smith (Aaron), Tina Deal (Allen), Shandra Smith (Kevin), two brothers: James (Libby) and Doug Davis, two sisters: Sally Overton (Billy) and Lula Mae Baldwin, eight grandchildren: Becky Smith, Adrian Deal, Tara Deal, Carlee Deal, Carson Deal, Christopher Tuck (Kim), Nathaniel Tuck (Johanna) and Joshua Smith, three great grandchildren: Ender and Moxxi Hudson, Xavian Parsons, a special niece Sue Icard (Michael), along with a number of nieces, nephews and special friends.

Ms. Alexander’s visitation will be Wednesday November 30, 2022, at Alexander Funeral Service from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be Thursday December 1, 2022, at Beulah Baptist Church of Taylorsville, NC at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Dover Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville, NC. Rev. Keith Bowman will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Allen Deal, Kevin Smith, Christopher Tuck, Nathaniel Tuck, Derek Hudson and Joshua Smith.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alexander Funeral Service in care of the family at P.O. Box 40 Taylorsville, NC 28681.
