Ethyl Teague,

Ethyl Teague, age 74, of Taylorsville, passed away at her residence on Sunday, November 15, 2015. She was born on Wednesday, September 24, 1941 to the late Paul Ulysses and Mamie Arney McAlpin in Alexander County. Ethyl was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She really enjoyed spending time with all of her family. She loved flowers and crocheting.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ned A. Teague, one brother Bryson U. McAlpin, five sisters; Mamie Carrie McAlpin, Mary Francis M. Bentley, Lena Mae McAlpin, Shirley Ann M. Elder, and Edith Pearl Irene M. McHargue.

Ethyl leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Renee Teague & Todd, Tanya Stephenson & Greg, Alesia Hicks & Fred, a son Ned "Odell" Teague & Angelia, three grandsons; David Stephenson & Brandi, Terry Lee Hicks & Chasity, Conner Teague, four granddaughters; Kristen Stephenson & Micah, Whitney Kau & Alex, Kayla Atwood, Kalynn Smith four great grandchildren two on the way, one brother William "Bill" McAlpin, and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 pm Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Service. The funeral service is Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Antioch Baptist Church at 4:00 pm. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. The Rev. Mark Morris will be officiating.
