Eugene Lawrence Whitonis,

Eugene Lawrence Whitonis, age 75, of Statesville passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Carolina's Medical Center. Born December 13, 1937 in Illinois to the late Joseph and Wanda Whitonis. Eugene was a veteran of the US Air force where her served for 14 years. He was retired from Freight Liner and was of the Catholic Faith. He enjoyed planes and working on computers and cars. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Linda Ann Whitonis; two sons - Tommy Whitonis and Kenny Whitonis and wife Heather; daughter - Cindy Piciullo and husband Charles; brothers - Jim, Joe and John Whitonis; sister - Dorothy Smith; grandchildren - Brett, Kelly and Carly Piciullo and step-grand daughter - Marissa Whitonis.
