Eullain Earline Linney Booker, age 75, of Hiddenite passed away at the Statesville Brian Center on Monday,  January 14, 2013.  Born to the late William Roger and Lethia Sarah (Jones) Linney, she attended Happy Plains High School and A and T College in Greensboro.  Eullian was a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church where she had served as a delegate for the church association. Ms. Booker had retired from the furniture industry. Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters - Koketia Hamlette of Claremont and Emily Smith of Hiddenite; one son - Rickey Linney and wife Rosalind of Hiddenite; grandchildren - Dominique Pacheco and husband Enrique, Sr.; Linore Hamlette, Jr. and wife Kaylea; Christin Smith, Kyle Linney, and Stephanie Little; great-grandchildren - Elise, Javier, Enrique Jr., Jasmine, and CaSandra Pacheco, Karma and Titus Hamlette, and Jayvion Smith; three sisters - Daisy Watts, Hazel Hull, and Betty Bennett; three nieces - Vandetta, Bobbyetta and Rita; two nephews - John Jr. and Jamie; five great nieces - Rosetta, Latoyya, Alexis, Samantha and Alexander; three great nephews - Charles Jr., Phillip and John III; two great-grand nieces - "Gabby" Gabrielle and Zoe; one great-great nephew - Caleb and a host of cousins and other family members.
In honor of Mrs. Booker, a Wake will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Alexander Funeral Service from 7:00  p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Smith Grove Baptist Church in Hiddenite at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. William Little and Rev. James Ferguson officiating. The body will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
