Evelyn Evans Gregory,

Evelyn "Evie" Freese Bussard Evans Gregory, age 79, of Taylorsville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus on Monday, April 14, 2014. She was born in Medina County, Ohio on March 19, 1935 to the late Orlin Farr Freese and Edna Mabry Freese. Evie, in retirement, was at WalMart of Taylorsville as a salesperson. She was a member of East Taylorsville Baptist Church, a tutor in the after school program and choir at East Taylorsville Baptist Church, and was involved in Forgiven Ministries Prison Fellowship. Evie volunteered at Ellendale Elementary, had her private pilot's license, and enjoyed crocheting. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands: Merle L. Bussard, Bobby L. Evans, and Leonard Gregory; brother: Richard Freese; and great grandson: Justin Purcell. Evie is survived by daughters: Arlene Nickerson of Jacksonville, FL, and Karen Bussard Beasley (Jeff) of Taylorsville; son: Glenn Bussard of St. Cloud, FL; grandchildren: Jayson, Christopher, Rolland Purcell, Christine Bussard, Lauren Beasley Tollise (James), and Jared Beasley; great grandchildren: Brent, Amanda, Trent, JT, Christopher, Caitlyn, Adalina, and Arianna; and siblings: Margaret Heath, Jeannette Barkalow (Carl), James Freese (Sue Ellen), Donna Snyder (Jerry), Ethel Stuplinski (Harry), and John Freese (Shirley), all of Ohio.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at East Taylorsville Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jamie Steele officiating. Burial will take place at Sulfur Springs Baptist Church after the service. Pallbearers include Jeff Beasley, Jared Beasley, James Tollise, Joey Eckard, Morris Merigan, and Rolland Purcell.
