Evelyn Watson Hines,

Evelyn Watson Hines, age 74, of Taylorsville passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Frye Regional Medical Center.  She was born August 19, 1937 to the late Frank "Son" Watson and Mildred Starnes Watson.  She was retired from Valdese Weavers and was a member of East Taylorsville Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and sister.  She loved Richard Petty, fishing, quilting and cooking just so she could spend time with the ones that she loved.   Those that precede her in death include her parents and one brother, Frank Watson Jr.  Those left to cherish her memory, include her husband of 56 years, Walter Lee Hines of the home; one daughter, Judy Davis and husband Billy; one son, Walter Lee Hines, Jr. and wife Tammy, all of Taylorsville; two grandsons, Joel Davis and wife Angie, of Taylorsville and Josh Davis and wife Morgan, of Wilmington; and two great grandsons, Chandler and Carson Davis, of Taylorsville.  One brother, Danny Watson and wife Dorothy, of Taylorsville and three sisters; Jean Furr and her late husband, Micheal Furr, of Supply, NC; Jeanette Palmer and husband Dennis, of Huntersville, NC and Martha Pinnix and husband Sammy, of Hiddenite, NC.  She also had a number of nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by a special friend, Lois Kuykendall, of Taylorsville.  To celebrate the life of Mrs. Hines, family will receive friends on Friday, June 15, 2012 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at East Taylorsville Baptist Church.  Service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 5:00pm at East Taylorsville Baptist Church.  Rev. Jamie Steele and Rev. Gary Jennings will be officiating.  Burial will follow at the Taylorsville City Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at East Taylorsville Baptist Church @ Po Box 906, Taylorsville, NC  28681.
