Fleta Bowman Preslar,

Fleta Irene Bowman Preslar, age 91, of the Bethlehem Community, Taylorsville, passed away in Frye Regional Med. Ctr. on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014. Born on Nov. 25, 1922 to the late Ephriam and Lottie Bowman, she was a member of Fellowship Advent Christian Church in Bethlehem. She was retired from the furniture industry. She was an avid bowler, loved gospel music, was fun loving and a people person, who loved children and her family deeply. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Kern Preslar as well as eight brothers and eight sisters.  She is survived by her two daughters: Carolyn Preslar Haas of Taylorsville, and Kay Preslar Gresham and husband Wade of Durham, NC. One son survives, Lynn Preslar and wife, Elaine, of Taylorsville. She has two surviving siblings, a brother, Kenneth Bowman and wife Elaine and a sister, Joyce Deal, all of Taylorsville. Four grandchildren are left to cherish her memory, Dale Haas and wife Elaine, of Bolingbrook, Ill., Chris Haas and wife Nicole, of Concord, NC. Casey Preslar of Charlotte and Andrea Smith and husband, Justin of Winston Salem. There are six great grandchildren. She has a host of nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at Fellowship Advent Christian Church in Bethlehem, with funeral services at 3:00 p.m. at the church. Pastor David Ross will officiate.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Kevin & Jason Mull, Greg & Terry Deal, Gene Goforth, and Kris Auton will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Auton and Isaac White. Memorials may be made to the Fellowship Advent Christian Church Children's Ministry, 885 Icard Ridge Rd. Taylorsville, NC, 28681.
