Florence Milstead Kerley,

Florence Milstead Kerley, age 83, of Taylorsville, passed away on Tuesday, October 5th, 2010 at Valley Nursing Center.  She was born in Alexander County on January 16th, 1927 to parents Charles Franklin & Nora Herman Milstead.  She attended Mt. Hebron Baptist church and spent her life as a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roby Rance Kerley; and 4 brothers: Horace, Lawrence, Don, and Roe Milstead.  Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Roby Dean Kerley & wife Trudy, Linda Kay Sweet & husband Tim; Karen Jolly & husband Lanny; and Lisa Barber& husband Kelly.  She is also survived by 8 grand-children: Heather Johnson, Hannah Kerley, Mark Stafford & wife Dana; Christine Little & husband Shaun; Leslie Echerd & husband Greg; Matthew Jolly, and Taylor & Jonathan Barber.  She was also a great-grandmother to 8.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 6th, from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Funeral Service.  Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, October 7th at 4 P.M. at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Taylorsville with the Revs. Eddie Jolly, Stuart White, and Bill Orren officiating.  Burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Alexander Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
