Frank Julius Setzer Jr.

Frank Julius Setzer Jr age 83, passed away after a short illness, at Gordons Hospice House in Iredell County, Thursday September 2, 2021. He was born December 18, 1937 in Gaston, NC, to the late Frank Julius Setzer Sr. and Annie Mae England Setzer. Frank was of the Baptist faith, he enjoyed shooting and reloading with bullets that he handmade, enjoyed westerns and war history. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. Frank also loved spending time in the garden and listening to Hank Williams Sr.

Those left to cherish the memoires of Frank include his spouse of 47 years Glennie Rose Lail Setzer, two sons: Frankie Setzer (Melanie) and Julius Setzer (Tiffanie), one daughter Elizabeth Adams (Chris), six grandchildren: Leanna Steele (Austin), Landon Setzer, Sarah Lackey and boyfriend Jordan White, Lauren Setzer, Lawson Setzer, and Jackson Setzer, three step grandchildren: Joshua Lackey (Christine), Emily Durmire (Brent), and Lia Hawthorne, one great grandchild Evelyn White, four step great grandchildren: Abbie Gilley, Mac Lackey, Grace Durmire, and Quinlyn Durmire, and one special little girl Johanna Lively.

Graveside service for Mr. Setzer will be conducted Saturday September 4, 2021 at Smyrna Baptist Church at 10:00 am. Rev. Mitch King will officiate.
