Franklin Fox Icard of Bethlehem passed away at his residence on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. He was born to the late Ernest Earl and Gladys Elaine Fox Icard on Monday, December 5, 1932. Mr. Icard was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He served as a deacon and primary children's leader for 20 years. He retired at the age of 73 from Century Furniture after 57 years of working in the furniture industry. He loved his family and enjoyed working in the yard and garden.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Lois Irene Elder Icard, infant brother Roy Icard, one brother Lloyd Icard, two sisters Ruth Snyder and Margaret Starnes.

He is survived by one son Phil Franklin Icard and wife Vicki of Taylorsville, one daughter Vickie Icard Rogers and husband Donnie, four grandchildren Angela Rogers Gettler of Taylorsville, Heather Rogers Smith of Colfax, NC, Phil Icard  II of Taylorsville, Phelecia Icard Wells of Lake Wylie, SC, one brother Carroll Icard of Hickory, and one sister Alice Sanniota of Bethlehem, and four great-grandchildren Micah, Joel, Adeline Gettler, all of Taylorsville, and Gavin Wells of Lake Wylie, SC.

Visitation will be 2:00-3:30 pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Sunday, February 22, 2015 with the funeral following at 3:30 pm. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Mitch King and Rev. Dan Snyder will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Hospice of Alexander Co. 51 Lucy Echerd Ln Taylorsville, NC 28681, and Bethlehem Baptist Church 7500 Hwy 127 Taylorsville, NC 28681
