Gaye Farley,

Gaye Watson Farley age 81 of Morganton passed away at Caldwell Memorial Hospital on May 11, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Roy Richard Watson and Toy Wingler Brittain. She was born on December 6, 1933 in Wilkes County. She was a member of Oxford Memorial Baptist Church for 14 years. Gaye also loved crocheting, cooking, and sewing.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step mother Erslie Watson, step father Rufus Brittain, two granddaughters Julie Watson, Wendy Watson, one grandson Jeremy Watson, one daughter in law Patricia Watson, a son in law Jimmy Boyette, three brothers Jack, Roy Watson and Claude Long.

Gaye is survived by a son Gary Watson and fiancé Connie Brooks, four daughters Sherry Boyette, Suzanne McDaniel, Sandra Cook and husband Robert, Glenda Mitchell and husband Scott, one brother George Watson and wife Lib,  seventeen grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and 15 nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 1:00-2:45 at Oxford Memorial Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 13, 2015. The funeral will begin at 3:00 pm. The Rev. Neal Walker, Rev. Jeff Woods and Rev.
