George Page Jr.,

George Raby Page Jr., age 78, of Taylorsville, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Mr. Page was born to the late George Raby Sr. and Ophelia Self Page on April 19, 1937 in Catawba County. He married his soul mate Shirley Baker Page on September 9, 1960 whom he's been married to for 55 years. He was a member of Shiloh Lutheran Church. He served in the United States Navy. Mr. Page loved to fish and watch the Atlanta Braves. Before retirement he was self employed in lawn care.

In addition to his wife Shirley Baker Page he leaves to cherish his memory his children: Denise Renee Page & Benjamin Lee Page; grandchildren: Amber Victoria Duane, Zachary Allen Page, Natasha Shianne Page; one great grandson: Dexter Ian Stone; two sisters: Gail Speagle & Sandra Williams; two brothers: Gary Page & Mike Page; and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Shiloh Lutheran Church, with the funeral following at 3:00 pm. The Pastor David Hefner will be officiating the service. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Military rites provided by DAV Chapter 84 of Taylorsville & Chapter 6 of Hudson. The family requests that in addition to flowers memorials contributions be made to Shiloh Lutheran Church Golden Group for Samaritans Purse Shoebox fund, 1011 Shiloh Church Rd., Hickory, NC 28601 in Mr. Page's name.
