George Lindburg White

George Lindburg White, age 94, passed away in Catawba County on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Catawba Valley Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born December 20, 1927 to the late Ralph and Fannie White. He was a member of Three Forks Baptist Church.
George loved to work at Little Egypt with his son Terry, going out to eat breakfast, talking to anyone that would listen, and watching westerns. At age 94 he still loved metal working in his garage. He was married for 75 years to Mary “Boots” White who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Charlie, Chester, Jimmie, and Bobby White and sisters, Ruby Young and Mattie Harrington.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Terry White and Dale White (Dianne), grandchildren, Bryan White (Alida), Kevin White (Shelly), Laura, Wes and John White, great-grandchildren, Blake, Ayden, Owen, Aurora, and Emerson White, daughter-in-law, Sherry White, sister-in-law, RuthEtta White, brother-in-law, Mark Gilreath and caregiver Kathy Bowles.
George will lie in state at Alexander Funeral service on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at Three Forks Baptist Church Cemetery Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Mark Robinette will officiate.
Grandchildren will be pallbearers
