Georgia Lee Dula

Georgia Lee Dula, Age 95, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, in Iredell County.
Georgia was born on Sunday, September 18, 1927, in Alexander County, to the late John Carl Newland and Maude Julia Lackey Newland.
Georgia was a member of Love and Unity Resurrection Church.
She loved to cook, sew, and garden, but most of all loved to sing and praise the Lord and share His word. She was saved at a young age and filled with the Holy Spirit.
Including her parents, Georgia is preceded in death by her husband, Rom Willis Dula, Sr.
Brothers, William Flake Newland, Robert Morris Newland, Boyd Thomas Newland, Earnest Rowe Newland, and John Ruth Newland. Two sisters, Edna Grace Patterson, and Ira Sue Newland.
She is survived by two sons, Rom Willis Dula, II (Sheila) of Conover, John Dula of Taylorsville.
Daughters, Toni Oseni, of Taylorsville and Susan Sharpe (Ralph) of Statesville.
Grandchildren, Jason Dula, Sam Helms, Stephanie Helms, Janie Giles (Angela), Shonda Voss (Andre), Shanay Parsons (Ashley), Carlton Sharpe and Shae Long (Ryan).
Thirteen Great-Grand Children, and four Great, Great Grand Children.
Sister, Dorothy Linney (Jessie) and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Georgia will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2:00pm to 2:45pm at Love and Unity Resurrection Church.
Funeral service will follow at 3:00pm at Love and Unity Resurrection Church.
Burial will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1451, NC Hwy 90, Taylorsville, NC 28681.
Pastor Laura Smith Jones will officiate.
