Georgia Lee Honeycutt Jolly, age 90, of Taylorsville passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016. She was born in St. Clair, Alabama on April 15, 1926 to the late William and Viola Honeycutt. Mrs. Jolly worked at Sherrill Furniture for 40 plus years and was a member at Millersville Baptist Church. HAVING LOST A SON IN THE VIETNAM WAR, SHE WAS A GOLD STAR MOTHER. She is preceded in death by her husband Burlie Jolly; son, Robert Gerald Jolly; daughter, Dinah Gail Jolly; grandson, Michael Jolly, Jr.; 5 brothers and 8 sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Michael Jolly and wife Arlene of Newton; 3 daughters: Rhonda Weaver and husband Gary of Taylorsville, Robin Houston and husband Randy of Claremont, and Marie Jolly of Longview; 4 granddaughters: Natasha N. Weaver, Kisha Boggs, Jennifer Jolly, and Brenda Kay Parks; 3 grandsons: Jerry Eugene Drum, Mark Reel, and Marty Loudermilk; one great grandchild, Bayli Boggs; along with several other family members.
Funeral Service for Mrs. Jolly will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Millersville Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Orren and Rev. Phil Chapman officiating. The family has requested for no visitation before the service. Burial will follow at Friendship Lutheran Church Cemetery.
